About the role:

The primary functions of the Senior Technical Support Specialist are to:

  • Provide technical assistance in the ongoing maintenance and development of ConnX and our client environment.
  • Liaise directly with internal and external clients for technical / IT related issues and manage through to resolution and closure.
  • Test and resolve software and/or environmental issues
  • Provision, manage and maintain Cloud environments, AWS and Azure
  • Install, configure and upgrade software packages for a variety of environments
  • Support internal projects as part of product and internal infrastructure improvements.
  • Backup our Internal Tech Support Dept. when required.
  • Provide your diagnosis and subject matter expertise into Client Documentation and Communications

Location - This role is based in our Head Office in Milton, Brisbane. Easy walking distance to Park Road, Restaurants, Shops and Transport.

Salary -   An attractive remuneration package is available based on your talent.

About You:

Ideally you will have a minimum of three years’ relevant experience within a Help Desk / Client Support environment and have an interest in the HR / Payroll Industry.

Must have:

  • Experience and/or certification in Microsoft Servers IIS
  • Experience and/or certification in AWS technologies, EC2’s, Route53, S3, VPC’s etc.
  •  Comprehensive understanding of networking, protocols and Windows Server environments
  • An enthusiasm for Cloud services
  • An interest in new technologies
  • A professional, positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • A sense of urgency, can think on your feet, be adaptable and eager to help
  • Great problem-solving skills, and the ability to “think outside the box”
  • Excellent communication - written (email) and verbal (telephone manner) and interpersonal

Would like you to have:

  • A tertiary qualification in IT
  • Ability to comprehend technical aspects of software and operational issues of basic business functions within payroll and human resources applications.
